THE HISTORY:
The Tamuno Inaemi Football Academy was formed in 1989 by Idowu Keyede, technical director, at Ikeja Police College, before we relocated to university of Lagos, Akoka. The academy was formed with the purpose of discovering young talents and develops them for an enviable career in the world of soccer. So far so good the academy has been able to produced a lot of stars playing their trades abroad and also in the Nigerian national teams, they include, Femi Ajilore of FC Midtyland, Denmark and under 23 national team, Sunday Stephen CF Valencia Spain, he also features in the Spanish team under 20, Taye Taiwo he is currently playing in Olympic Marseille France, and he is a constant feature in Nigeria national team, Yusuf Ayinla, dynamo Kiev of Ukraine, senior national team of Nigeria, Ayo Makinwa SS Lazio of Italy and senior national team, Ifeanyi Emeghara steau Bucharest Romania and senior national team, Kelechi Ibekwe in Italy, Bernard Okorowanta Sivasspor of Turkey, Dele Adeleye, Sparta Rotherdam of Holland senior/ under 23 national team, Festus Iradibe of FC Enyimba of Nigeria, Stanley Ibe in Czech republic, Daniel Nwanze of mameloidi Sundows of south of Africa, Kingsley Salami, Yugoslavia and under 20 national team. The academy was to participate in Gothia cup 2004 due to logistic reasons we were unable to make it after procuring the visas.
The new management is under the Chairmanship of Mr. Alexis Olisadebe Olisadebe, who decided to change the name of academy to SOTONTE FOOTBALL ACADEMY.

SUCCESS STORY
Since the inception of the academy, we have witnessed and experienced immense success, the academy has been able to produce great players in the past and many of the products of this academy are currently playing in Europe and other parts of the world, currently some of them are constant features in all Levels of the national team of Nigeria, raging from under- 17, under -21, under-23, and Super Eagles, which is the senior national team.

Olisadebe Alexis Olisadebe (PRESIDENT)
The president hailed from Illah town, Oshimili North Local Government Area Delta state Nigeria.
The president of the academy has an enormous experience in the football business; he has also played in various clubs in the Africa (Nigeria) and other parts of the world. And he is also the president of Alexis International Investments; he is base in Europe (Spain).
Idowu Julius Keyede (Technical Director)
 GRASSROOT FOOTALL: I started my grass root football in Ghana, where he was born and raised to Nigerian parents from Osun state, Ibokun local govt. He played for a renowned youth team called Salami Asese Fc. He went ahead to play for his technical school called Emit electronics in Accra Ghana.
SOCCER CLUBS PLAYED: He played for Tate and Lyle Fc Ilorin Kwara state in 1979., in 1980, played for Calabar Rovers Cross River state in 1981, moved to Standard of Jos Plateau state in 1982 then back to Tate and Lyle Fc, in 1984 he moved to Bendel insurance of Benin, Edo state, in 1986 he finally moved to play in the German third division with Fc Heembrechts UFB, BAYERN STATE.
COACHING: He started grass root coaching in 1989 with a grass root club called Harrison babes, before he moved to Nigeria to form Tamunoinaemi Football academy, Now Sotonte football academy.
Alex Opara (Chief Coach)
The chief coach Alex Opara, hails from imo state of nigeria. he was a goalkeeper during his playing days, and has played for various clubs in nigeria. Clubs include NPA {nigeria ports authority} football club, he then left NPA to ACB{african continental bank} fc. He was with ACB for 9years where he ended his football career due to injury. He started coaching in the grassroot 6years ago, so far so good, he has developed a lot of Nigerian players playing their trade in europe and some parts of the world.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
We defeated Enternal Fc of Cotonou, Beni republic during MKO Abiola birth day cup in Abeokuta, Ogun state. On August 26 2000, we won the first edition of the Michael Ajassy peace cup, Akure, Ondo state, Year 2000, by defeating sunshine stars of Akure premier league club 4:3 on penalties.
We won a trophy organize by Italia agents at Capa Nitel football club ground, defeated Satanley football academy 2:0 on August 2001. We have defeated the Nigerian under 23 national team 1:0 at the main bowl of the national stadium, Surulere, Lagos. Our player Stanley Ibe was invited to the team after the match... He has also played the senior national team, loosing 4:0 in the first leg and 1:0 in the second leg. We have played top premier league clubs in Nigeria including Enyimba Fc of Aba and Julius Berger of Abeokuta. We have also produced players playing in the age grade national teams and Europe. Our player Stanley Ibe won the most valuable under 18 players tournament in Italy, featuring for Genoa Fc during trials.
